
The bangers were originally up to 1650cc, so cars such as A60s, Cortinas, Hillman Minxes and Wolseley 1500s were popular choices. From the start of the 1975 season, this increased to 2000cc, so a few larger cars such as Triumph 2000s started to appear. Top drivers included 513 Stan Woods, 508 Alan Latham, 516 Ian Fraser and Invaders team captain 503 Tommy Upton.
