
The racing was promoted by Mick Smith's Wolverhampton-based Trackstar Promotions, which also ran a track at Kirkby, and later also at Boston, King's Lynn, Doncaster, Chesterton (Stoke-on-Trent), Hinckley and Crewe. The New Brighton meetings were always on Sunday afternoons or Bank Holiday Mondays.
